HOME SERVICES DIRECTORY
Every business listed in the Go Denver Homes Home Services Directory has read and agreed to these ten commitments. That agreement is what a Level 1 listing represents — and it is the only thing it represents.
Represent your business, trade, experience, licensing, and insurance accurately — in your listing, in your estimates, and at the door. Do not claim credentials, certifications, or affiliations you do not hold.
Provide a written estimate or scope of work before beginning a job. If the job changes, get the change and its cost approved in writing before continuing. No surprise line items at the end.
Do not use fear, urgency, or a homeowner's stress — particularly during a sale, a closing deadline, hail season, or an emergency — to push work that is not needed. Recommend the smallest fix that solves the problem.
Keep appointments. If you are running late or cannot make it, call. Respond to a homeowner who has hired you within one business day.
Complete the agreed scope, clean up the site, and stand behind your workmanship. Honor any warranty you offered.
Maintain the liability insurance and any license, registration, or bonding your trade and jurisdiction require, and produce proof on request.
Do not talk a homeowner out of a required permit or inspection to save time or money.
You may receive referrals from real estate agents, brokers, or other pros listed on Go Denver Homes. Your recommendation to a homeowner must be based on the property, not on a kickback. Disclose any financial relationship that could affect your advice.
When a homeowner raises a problem, respond, and make a good-faith effort to resolve it directly. Do not retaliate against, threaten, or attempt to silence a customer who complains or leaves an honest review.
Treat the home, the people in it, and their property with care and courtesy. Discriminatory conduct toward a homeowner or tenant is grounds for immediate removal from this directory.
THE LIMITS OF THIS
Agreement to this Code is self-declared. Go Denver Homes does not audit, inspect, background-check, or otherwise verify compliance. A Level 1 listing is not a verification of licenses, insurance, permits, bonding, or workmanship, and it is not a recommendation or endorsement.
Listed businesses operate independently. Go Denver Homes is not a party to any agreement between a homeowner and a listed business, does not supervise the work, and does not guarantee outcomes. Homeowners should obtain multiple written estimates and independently verify any provider before hiring.
Removal. A business that violates this Code may be removed from the directory. Removal is the only enforcement mechanism available to us — it is not a remedy, and it does not resolve a dispute. Disputes over money or workmanship belong with the contractor, your city or county building department, the Colorado Attorney General's consumer protection office, or a court.
